CM Arvind Kejriwal : Delhi Reserves Hospitals For Delhi's Public only

By Admiring the rising cases in Delhi and the controversy over the availability of beds in Delhi hospitals, Arvind Kejriwal has announced that the state government and some private hospitals will be reserved for the residents of the national capital only. Also, the Delhi borders would be opened from tomorrow.

  4. Asserting that the hospital beds in Delhi will be occupied in three days if the people from other states are allowed to be treated in them, Arvind Kejriwal said a committee has suggested that the hospitals in the city should be for Delhi patients only.
We will need 15,000 beds by the end of June for Delhiites. If we allow people to come from outside, the beds will fill up in 3 days. Delhi government hospitals currently have 10,000 beds and Central government hospitals have 10,000 beds," he said.

Delhi Borders to  opened from Monday

Arvind Kejriwal also announced that the Delhi borders, that were sealed amid the apprehensions that people from other states will come to the city to avail "best health services", would be opened from tomorrow (Monday).

Places, Malls, Restaurants are open now 

Arvind Kejriwal also announced that the places of worship, malls, and restaurants would also be allowed to open from tomorrow (Monday) while adhering to the Central government rules. Orders and rules on the reopening of restaurants, malls and religious places in Delhi from Monday will be released shortly.

Hotels and banquet halls will, however, remain shut.

"We may have to attach hotels and banquet halls to hospitals to deal with the rising numbers of coronavirus," CM Arvind Kejriwal said.
The Central government has allowed the reopening of shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality services along with the places of religious worship to people from June 8, however, these facilities will not be able to resume operations inside containment zones designated by authorities in states.

On a day the number of confirmed cases in India crossed 2.5 lakh, the health ministry said the government is “fine-tuning” its strategy based on emerging knowledge and on-ground experience. It also defended the timing of imposition of the nationwide lockdown aiming to contain the spread of virus and termed “baseless” certain media reports expressing concerns that it did not take suggestions from technical experts while chalking out its COVID-19 strategy.
