Mumbai BMC action plan considering the serious condition of Covid-19 in Mumbai.

Three new jumbo COVID centers to come up in six weeks.

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) mayor Kishori Pednekar released a list of guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be followed by the city in its battle against coronavirus. 

The Action Plan includes a few new jumbo COVID facilities, running testing labs Reports between 24 hours and allotting beds by BMC Ward War Rooms. There will be Two Nodal officers arranged for Each war room, particularly during the night to guide patients and suspected cases. 

Nodal officers of Municipal Corporation

Nodal Officers shall be arraigned for functioning of 24 Ward War Rooms and jumbo field hospitals, specifically from 11 pm to 7 am. Nodal Officers shall be scheduled in two shifts from 3 pm to 11 pm and 11 pm to 7 am both at Ward War Rooms and jumbo field hospitals as well.

Testing lab reports in 24x7

All labs are instructed to confirm a rotate time of 24 hours without fail. The labs are instructed to provide priority to swabs of symptomatic patients whereas process the COVID test collected below home collection of swabs.

Jombo Centers field Hospital

The government has decided to build three more jumbo field hospitals in the next five-six weeks at three different locations in Mumbai, each with a capacity of 2000 beds with 200 ICU beds & 70 percent oxygenated beds.

Besides, the BMC has also added 325 ICU beds in varied Mumbai hospitals, taking the overall range of ICU beds to a pair of 466. Total COVID beds on on-line bed allotment dashboard have climbed 19,151, comprising 141 hospitals out of those presently 3,777 DCHC/DCH beds now vacant.
