Kolkata Knight Riders faced off against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai on Sunday. Both the teams played very well.

SunRisers Hyderabad crashed to a defeat vs Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 3 of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2021 season, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday. The David Warner-led side lost by 10 runs, with Manish Pandey's unbeaten knock failing to seal a win. Chasing a target of 188 runs, SRH had a weak start, losing early wickets.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar finishing on an expensive note with Karthik getting stuck into him. The keeper-batsman collects 16 off Bhuvi including a six and a four. IPL is like crush for youngsters and these matches are extremely amazing.

And that match was super entertaining Sunrisers really did take the game deep towards the end but the KKR bowlers were more superior as they eventually walked away with the win. Nitish Rana was outstanding for KKR, while Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow fought back just for SRH to fall short by 10 runs.

Overall this match was super duper.

Today, Rajasthan Royals begin their campaign with a match against the rechristened Punjab Kings as they seek a fresh start Do join us.

IPL means entertainment. This is epic league and The country unites when it supports the Indian team but during the IPL, they stand strong behind their respective teams. The strong fan bases engage in entertaining banter on social media and are always out there to defend their favourite teams or justify their chances at the IPL. The beauty is that most teams have a pan-India appeal, mainly due to the presence of great players in their ranks.

Let's talk about KKR vs SUNRISERS HYDERABAD MATCH :

Kolkata Knight Riders 187 for 6 (Rana 80, Tripathi 53, Rashid 2-24) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad 177 for 5 (Pandey 61*, Bairstow 55, Krishna 2-35) by 10 runs

The Kolkata Knight Riders managed the first successful defence in the 2021 IPL despite a blip towards the end of their innings. They managed just 42 in their last five overs, but the 145 for 1 in the first 15 proved to be good enough on a dry pitch, which their bowlers exploited.

Eighty-or-nothing Nitish Rana had that eighty night on a track that didn't support his weakness: short and fast bowling. The selfless Rahul Tripathi scored an attacking fifty despite not batting at the position suited to him, opening the batting.

Defending about 20 fewer than what they looked good for, the Knight Riders' fast bowlers produced the big wickets and their spinners stifled the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen to seal the game.

After Prasidh Krishna got David Warner early, Jonny Bairstow revived the Sunrisers chase with a 40-ball 55, but Pat Cummins got him out in the 13th over to leave Manish Pandey with a tall ask of getting 86 off the last seven. Pandey couldn't despite an Abdul Samad cameo at the end.

Dry pitches are what Sunrisers have built their successful model on. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sandeep Sharma remain accurate before Rashid Khan drives home the advantage, but on this occasion both Kumar and Sharma got off to an error-filled start.

While Shubhman Gill's struggle to bat at T20 pace continued from 2020, Rana made full use of the width provided by both the new-ball bowlers.

Overall this match was super entertaining.
