Mamata Banerjee

Assembly elections. She has thanked the people of the state. She thanked the
Trinamool Congress supporters and the people. She also appealed to the people
to go home without holding a victory procession.
The results of
the West Bengal Assembly elections were announced on Sunday. Accordingly, the
ruling Trinamool Congress has a big winning lead. The official results are yet
to be announced. Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress has won more seats than
in previous elections. It has won more than 200 seats. BJP is leading with 75
seats. All eyes were on the Nandigram constituency in the Bengal Assembly
elections. In this most prestigious election, Mamata Banerjee has to accept
defeat from BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari.
In Nandigram,
Mamata Banerjee herself was contesting from Trinamool Congress. BJP's Suvendu
Adhikari contested against him. Adhikari had joined the BJP a few days before
the elections. The counting took place on Sunday. At that time, there was a
thorny issue between the two candidates. However, it was not until the last
round. Eventually, Mamata Banerjee lost. Trinamool Congress has won in West
Bengal. I thank everyone. No one pleads for a victorious procession. Everyone
should go home peacefully, 'she appealed.
